The president of the Pahiatua Territorial Association, replying to Radical newspaper criticisms of New Zealand's defence scheme, concludes:. "You may champion the Peace Society's cause and hinder universal training in the Homeland, but I must ask you to see that your illustrations regarding New Zealand's compulsory training are truthful and substantiated."
