Gisborne, November 26 Langlands and Co., who recently under-' took what was regarded as forlorn hope —tho refloating of the wrecked Star of Canada—are meeting with signal , success in their efforts. This evening the engineroom was pumped dry, rind much valuable auxiliary machinery is now boirtg retrieved. The main engines aro practically undamaged by their long immersion m water, and will be left m. their place, Mr. Langlands hoping'to u&s them to propel the vessel to Auckland whan'he has completed his task Ho is very confident of success now,, and hopes in .a few weeks to' ho able to hand tho steamer over to the workmen at the Calliope Dock, Auckland.'
