MADAME RIRKBY LUNN.

Madame Kirkby Lunn, the cclchratetl English contralto, opened her new Zealand tour last niglit, in Auckland, to a great audience. This was to be expected on account of the high reputation that Madame Lunn has attained in Europe and America. The opening'concert of the Wellington season takes place next Tuesday evening, in the Town Hall, which will be followed by two further concerts on Thursday, December 5, and Saturday, December 7. Messrs. J. and N. Tait announce the opening of the box plans for the Wellington season, for to-morrow morning, at the Dresden Piano Co., and

a large demand for seats is anticipated, as very great interest seems to be displayed over the advent of this famous Covcnt Garden star and her company, who consist of Mr. William Murdoch (solo pianist), Mr. Andrew Shanks (baritone), and M. Andro do Ribaupierre (violinist).
