COLLIERY DISPUTE.
TROUBLE IN NEW SOUTH WALES. By Telsgraph—Press Association—Copyright . Sydney, November 25. Trouble is threatened at the Southern collieries over the dismissal of Mr. Russell, secretary of the Kembla Miners' Lodge. All the mines will be idle to-morrow to enable an aggregate meeting to discuss file situation. MASS MEETING OF MINERS. (Rec. November 25, 11.25 p.m.) . Sydney, November 25. All the southern mines were thrown idle to-day for the purpose of holding an aggregate meeting" of' miners to discuss the Russell case. Resolutions were adopted declaring that Russell was wrongfully dismissed, and pledging to endeavour to secure his reinstatement, and tho amendment of the industrial law' ..to prevent the discharge of employees without the giving of a fair reason. ' All unions are to be asked to support the resolutions. The threatened crisis has been averted, and the mines will resume to-morrow.
