■BIOLOGIST SEEKS INFORMATION. During tho present month tho riiajority of the nights of the New Zealand grass grub beetles will occur. As it is necessary to a solution of tho problem of dealing with this pest that the fullest details, of its life history should be known, tho Government Biologist, Mr. A.H.Cockayne, is anxious to obtain information as to the exact dates on which tho beetles are observed on the wing in the different districts. It is expected that in the Wellington district the first flights will occur about the third week in November, and farmers would render a service by forwarding to tho Biologist any observations they may inake in the above connection.
