TE ARO STATION.
AUGMENTED SERVICE IN PROSPECT. It is understood that as a result of the efforts of the Te Aro Railway League (which has lately been vigorously agitat-' ing for the construction of a goods shed at Te Aro and for the running of more trains to and from ,that station) from and after Monday next the morning and evening trains to and from tho Wairarapa will run to and depart from To Aro instead of Lambton Station as.at present. It is considered by the league that this extension of running will be a very great convenience to country people and to residents of To Aro and-sur-rounding districts. . , The Minister for Railways has written to the Harbour Board asking it.to state the terms upon which it is prepared to part with an area of land adjoining Te Aro .to servo as a site for a goods shed at (hat station.- The league is confident that a better train service to Te Aro and the equipment of the station with a goods shed big enough to cope with tho available'traffic will be of very groat utility to business people and td the general public, and that the financial returns will quickly recoup the'initial out-' lay involved.
