Mr. Browne, "who left for tlio north' by the Main Trunk express last evening, lias had a loiipr and enthusiastic connection with rifle shooting in this district, and was lately secretary, of the New Zealand Rifle Clubs' Executive ,aiid secretary .<>£ the Wellington Rifle Association, Mr. Kirby leaves for Whangaroi at the end of tlio month.
