Koslowski to/lc refuge-in -the bastion with a comrade, and threw bombs at a regiment of infantry, and two squadrons of cavalry, who had surrounded tho monastery. There was a four hours' fight, during which four soldiers wero wounded. Finally lie troops exploded tho bastion, killing Koslowski. During tho 6iege monks and thousands of pilgrims were confined in the church. They wore panic-stricken.
