[Bi Gl.emooe.] The Spring meeting of tho Marlborough Raoing Club will take place on Wednesday and Thursday next. Those desirous of making tho trip should note that tho Mapourika sails for Picton at 5 p.m. tomorrow. • There will be racing at Timaru on Wednesday and Thursday next. Amongst the field in the hack race at Timaru on Wednesday next is Mr. J. R. Fleming's Owhetoro, who finished very fast behind Gold Ring and Phroeo in the Ashley Handicap at Riccarton on the second day of the C.J.C. Cup meeting. The Arahura, which sailed for Picton on Saturday, had on board the racehorses Indra, Brown Trout, St.' Bees, Ivina. Borsil, and Ladino, who are to race at Riverlands on Wednesday and Thursday. Tho Porirua team for the Blenheim meeting will consist of St. Felix, Parky, and Aratiatia. The horses named, together with Biddy, from C. Pritchard's stables, will be shipped to Picton to-day. It is apparently intended not to persevere further with Lady Lucy, as the bay mare has been scratched for all engagements at tho Auckland Cup meeting. Weights for tho Auckland Cup and j Railway Handicap are due on Friday next. Lord Lupin, who gained a host of admirers when seen out at the Hawera meotI ing in May, is to make his reappearance ' on the racecourse in the Trial events at the Feilding meeting, which opens next week. \ On his arrival ni.Wanganui, after racing at the recent Ellerslie meeting, Coromandel was found to be suffering from a bad cold, and tho services of a veterinary surgeon had to be requisitioned for him. The Mahaki gelding Eiya, who was operated upon some timo ago for "roaring," has been paid up for in the Hack Hurdles at Feilding. Los'Angelos, Bon Reve, Bon Ton, Bronze, and Sir Knox have been allowed to drop out of their engagements on the first day of tho Feilding fixture, so presumably they will not be seen out at the meeting, but will be sent straight on to Auckland. Sir George Clifford will be represented in the St. Andrew's Handicap at Feilding by Brown Owl, who won the New Zealand Oaks at the C.J.C. meeting. Excellent nominations have been received for the. Woodville Jockey Club's Summer meeting. Weights for the first day's events are due on Friday next. After competing at, the Canterbury Jockey Club s meeting, My Lawyer was not sent to Dunedin, but was left in charge of the Riccarton trainer, R. Ellis, to be prepared for engagements at the South Canterbury Jockey Club's meeting on Wednesday and Thursday next. FIXTURES. November 20 and 21—Marlborough R.C. Spring.
