ENGINEEEING BOARD OF CONTROL. Th« first meeting of tha newly constituted Engineering Board of Control, instituted to advance the interests «f the engineering classes at the school, and to advise the Technical Board in regard to courses and examinations, was held on Friday evening last, there being present Mr. J. Marchbanks - (who was elected chairman of the board), Mr. Wallace, representing the Australasian Institute of Marine Engineers, Mr. J. P. Luke, representing the Technical Education Board, Mr. W. Cable, representing the ironmasters, Mr. E. Dolby, representing the Amalgamated Society of Engineers, and Mr. La.Trobe, the director of the Technical School, who was appointed secretary to. the board. ■
