ANNUAL MEETING, . Tho annual meeting of tho Kongotea Dairy Company was presided over by Mr. H. H. Hunt. Tho chairman congratulated shareholders on, the successiul year that had just been completed. There had been an increase in the turnover, and the price paid for butter-fat, which was over 12£-d„ had been a record one. The result of the year's working showed that the new outfit had been in the best interests of the suppliers. In spite of the fact that a considerable amount of money had been spent in the now building and plant, the overdraft had. not been materially increased. The speaker also referred to thi> bacon factory, which it had been proposed to erect in. connection with the company. Tho matter had not been gone on with, but everything was in order, ond the 6hare capital had been increased, so that it could be taken, in hand at any time tho shareholders might wish. The company would be prepared to proceed with the matter when .£2(100 had been guaranteed. Mr. Hunt also pointed out the necessity for improving the herds of the district. This could bo done by starting a Herdtesting Association, and,from results obtained by other similar associations, the movement was one that could well be taken up at Kongo tea. The retiring directors, Messrs. H. H. Hunt and W. Davis, were unanimously reelected. Three nominations were received to fill the extraordinary vacancy. These were Messrs. W. J. Hall, H. H. J. Turner, and A. Vollender. On the voto being taken, Mr. W. J. Hall was elected. Mr. G. J. Scott was re-ehcted auditor.
