;.;;•' ENTRIES CLOSE TO PAY. , In reminding mtending exhibitors that .all entries for the Hnwera show close toiday,. a few of tho chief ■ features about the coming, show will be of interest. The show thig year is expected to eclipse all others. Cattle are coining from all parts •of the colony, and the competition in Ayrshires and Jerseys especially will be exceedingly good. Sheep should,be much !as .usual in the purebred classes, but it ;is in the fat sheep that there will be one lof the best exhibits ever seen together .'in a North' Island, show Ting. Horses promise toibe as strong as ever, this disl.trict being noted for its great. quality. . Turning from the usual main stock sections, the Kennel Club Show is rapidly gaining' prominence. :Many leading fanciers have' these classes in hand, and visitors will see some of the best specimens -of these useful . animals. Expert attendants are on hand day and night. In the home industries every attention is being given to the classes for cookery and fancy-work, and many valuable and useful special prizes are offered for every sec- . School work classes are also a prominent feature. In the. ring events the classes for hunters should command strong attention. The jumps have all been remodelled, and -the prize money is in accordance with the up-to-date methods adrpted by the society.
