Sladden (of Wellington), and P. J. Ledger (of Nelson) were also present. A letter was received from the Auckland CommiUos, forwarding copies of letters sent % them to the Minister for Lands, Minister for Native .Affairs,.and Mr. Bradney, M.P., in regard to Native rates. for sufvey/s and! the. Government schedule rates.' The letters were'received. Mr. G. L. Cuthbertsc-n' was 'approved as a memfcer of the institute, dud Messrs. E. F. Burgess and H. R. ; Farquhar as students. t : Three resignations wero ,'acV cepted. ' -,'■'■ It was Tesolved to renominate as members of the Surveyors' Board, representing the institute, Messrs. J. W. Harrison, of Auckland,- and H. Sladden, of Wellington, in accordance with Section 11 of tho Act. In the event of Mr.. Harrison being unable to; accept renominatiom, Mr. -J. Littlejohn, of Nelson, will be nominated. It waa resolved to hold the annual meeting in Wellington on Tuesday, January 7-next.
