Balgety and Co.,' Ltd., report as follows on their stock sale, held at Waihanae yesterday Our yarding consisted entirely of cattle, of which Sve had a good entry. Prices were' well maintained, and we have to report a successful sale. SAM?, Messrs. Abrahafci ajid Williams,- Ltd., report:—On Saturday last at- Palmerst-on North we offered a. total entry of 170 horses of all classes. The incjuiry . for heavy draughts of good qualify wag keen, and those offered on account of Mr. 11. D. Knight, of Longhurn, realised from £30 to £48 IBs. for geldings and from £36 ICri. to £50 for mares. The greater portion of the entry consisted of light unbroken draughts and spring carters, for which a'limited demand existed, and prices ranged from £6 15s. to £18; hacks made from £7 to £10; upstanding harness hore*.)s, £12 io £17; inferior sorts of light, hacks, £2 10s. to £5.
