ADJUDICATED BANKRUPT.' CASE .OP A. B. DE ST. ROMAIN. In the Supreme Court yesterday Mr, Justice Sim,, sitting in Chambers, heard a sumons for adjudication in the. case of A. B. do Saint Romain, dairyman, a debtor.' The.sumons.was filed by T. S. Burrell, farmer,' of Miuigaroa.V who, had obtained . judgment against'the debtor: for ,£los' 4s. . Mr. A.'Dunn., appeared in support of tho. summons, whicli. was opposed, by' Sir; Keuneth Douglas; on .behalf; of. the debtor.. _;- , - - Sir -Kenneth Douglas ; said- the. .debtor had instructed hiin to opp'ose.:tbe;.ar.phcation on . the "ground that -he . wus Mia ving a hard struggle to live, and had had illness in the family. He was anxious to do what he could for his creditors when times got better. Counsel understood that all thp' milkmen were having a bad time I just now. • , . , <, ~ Mr. Dunn pointed out that the debtor had fiied no affidavit, and given no notice of his intention to defend. On the state-i-ment of. his own counsel it was shown that he was.in the, position of bankrupt.. ' His Honour.' asked. what were tho particuiar reasons, for seeking" the adjudication., . . • Mr. Dunn said his client was not satisfied... He'was instructed that tho debtor was doing well in business. , .His Honour: s.aid that. Mr. Dunns I clicnt was .entitled to the adjudication. I An order was made accordingly.
