The huge stands were packed with visitors, and the areas surrounding the' competi-' 'tion ring carried many hundreds of gaily-, gowned ladies and children intent on'the side-shows and competitions, and men, who mostly confined their attention, to the' 'stock. • It' .j'was a bright, animated 6cene, and one not easily forgotten ty those who were units in the multitude. The visitors included his Excellency the Governor ' and a number of members of Parliament, and also 'the cadet's, who: havb'just returned from Canada. The; grand parade of cattle and horses was a' great sight, thousands: of pounds' worth" of-cattle and horses filing past the stand. ■ .-.'
