FULLERS' PICTURES. A complete change of programme was given at tho Skating Rink in Vivian Street last evening. Tho now set is well varied, and is quite up to tho standard maintained by tho Fuller proprietary. The King of Beasts took tho principal port in a capital dramatic picture, entitled "A Lion Let Loose." Many pictures in which lions have figured, havo been shown at this theatre, and tho ono in question is quito as good as its predecessors. The plot deals will the capture of an escaped lion by a farmer, nud its subsequent release by tho farmer, on j to his creditor. The scenes nye particu- | larly clear. "Building a Railway Carriage" is .in- industrial film of interest, and 'Tunnicus as a Porter," is a good comic. Scenes of interest touching recent, happenings are given in tho latest Uaumont Graphic. "A Sicilian Tragedy," a lengthy and artistic rustic drama, demonstrated its attractiveness by drawing full houses ve-sterdny afternoon and evening at tho Kow Theatre. THE KING'S THEATHE., The usual Monday change of. programme was submitted at the King's Theatre last evening before a large attendance. X'atrons of the King's have often witnessed moving pictures depicting the army manoeuvres of foreign countries, but it is not often, that they have the opportunity of viewing, per photo, the manoeuvres of an JCnglish army. Raven is attracted by Edith, who is not displeased with the city man. Raven returns to New York, and writesto tho lady, asking her to come to tho city and marry him. SWo decides to go, but it is not long before she Icarus Raven's true character,-nnd tho final scene shows her content to spend her days with Hank as her husband. "Weary Dupin" is the title of a Gaumont comic, and "Rock of Ages" is a Vitagraph drama. The progiammo will be repeated thi3 evening. SHORTT'S PICTUR.ES. The paramount picture of the present programme at. Shortt's Continuous Picture Theatre in Willis Street is a picture .version of the Shakespearean play "The Merchant of Venice." The picture throughout is elaborately staged and capably acted. The large number of patrons present yesterday expressed their approval of tho picture very heartily. The Nordisk Company's quasi-military drama " 'Twixt War and the Girl" was no donU also partly responsible for the large number of patrons present. These two pictures are supported by a number of splendid exclusive pictures. Tho pier-out programme will be screened until Thursday ii?xt, when a complete change will lie presented. Shortt's pictures may l>o seen daily fro'n 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. continuously.' EMPRESS THEATRE. For a new programme at tho Empress Continuous Picture Theatre to-day, sev- • prnl attractive features nre announced. The dramatic studies include: "The ■Father," a vivid sketch of modern business life. "A Political Kidnapping" is an exciting story cf an election campaign jn a city in one of tho Western States of America, where a newspaper which supports ono of the candidates plays a prominent part in the development of the situations and incident of tho drama. The story of a convict is told in the photo drama "White Roses." "Italian Artillery on Manoeuvres" is a spectacular study of vu elite corps. Comedy will also bo strongly represented.
