A-Manakau Wedding, Yesterday afternoon, at St. Andrew's Church, Maiiakau, Aliss Lucy Alason, daughter of Mr. Samuel Smart Alason, Lower Ilutt, was married to Air. Walter Holdsivorth Warren, of Wellington, sixth (-on of the late Air. William Henry Warren, and of Airs. Warren, of Rossmoo'r Cresccmt, Wellington. The Rev. Cecil Smith performed tho ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Air. Thomas Mason, wore a goivn of cream poplin, with a veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and cnrried α-hou-tlliet of lilac. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Aliss Alarjorie Drake and Miss Daphne Cridland, the latter being a little cousin of (he bride. Air. Herbert Hamilton was best man, and Air. Charles D. Warren groomsman. The service was choral, friends of tho bridegroom (members of St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral Choir) singing Psalm c.xxvii, the. Deus Aliscreatur (to Gregorian music), hymn ")79, and a quartet. Air. Frank Tucker played tho organ. At the reception, organised by Airs. Drake, and other Manaknii friends'of the bride, toasls were- honoured and songs contributed by Messrs. Searle, Bowman, Farmer, and Tunley. Among the guests were Mr. and Ate. Arthur Drake (Waikawa), Air. and Airs. Fred. Cridland (Alakeruu), Air. ond Mrs. J. Austin, Airs. Cruicksha'iik (Wnikanae), the Misses Fanny niid 'Alnrjoric Warren, Atrs. Charles Smith nnd Ali« Ruth Smith, AJr. and Airs. Charles Collins, Miss H. Y. Jl'Kcime, and Aliss Daisy Reid (Wellington). The presents included gifts to tho bridegroom from Dalge.ty's stufE and from members of St. Pauft. Choir. Feilding Notes. The Bridge Club held its final meeting nt Airs. Gillespie's on Wednesday, when very enjoyable afternoon was spent. Tho highest score for the season was made by Airs. Atkinson. Airs. Hall andAirs. L. Gorton tied. for second. place. Among those present were:—Afesdames Hall, Horrocks, Clayton, Halliday, Roberts, Glasgow, M'Alhiin, Aliwes Spain and Fergusson. Aliss Fergusson, who has been staying with Airs. Gillespic, has left for " the south. Mrs. Atkinson has leturned from , Wellington. ' ' Airs. Cottcrill has .returned from Wellington. Aliss Wilson has gono to Auckland. Airs. Afiles has returned from Jiarton. Airs. Swainson has gome to Napier. On Friday afternoon Airs. Barton gave a very jolly bridge party at her pretty home in Monmouth Street. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Nelson (Woodville) arc in town, and are staring at tho Royal Oak.
Mr. aud Mrs. T. H. Lowry (Hastings) are in town for tlio races, and are staying at the Boyal Oak.
Captain Gilbert Hamilton and Mrs, HftiniUon are visiting Mr. aud Mrs. Dlgar.
: Tho marriage takes place shortly of Mr. George Fowlds, eldest son of tho Hon. George- Fowlds'and Mrs. Fowlds, of Auckland, and Miss Freda Simnionds, daughter of the Rev. ,T. 11. Siiumonds, principal of the Wesley Training College, Three Kings.
Mr. and Mrs. W. P, Holmes (Auckland) arc spending a few days in Wellington on their way down to. Christchurcb. They are staying- at the Koyal Oak.
Mrs. W. .Tunics (Masfcerton) is visiting Wellington, and is staying with her sister, Mrs. Webb, Crosby Terrace.
Miss Rutherford (Kekerangn) and her sisier, who havo l>ooll spending souio lime in Wellington, Icavo on Wednesday for Polmerston to attend the show. Mrs. C, Murray accompanies them.
Mrs. C. Murray (Marlborough) is visiting Wellington, and is staying at Mrs. Canners' in Sydney Street.
Miss Gilfillnn (Dunedin) and her sister are visiting Napier.
Mr. and Mrs. Chitty (Hamilton) and the "Misses Chitty have arrived in Wellington, on their return from a visit to England.
Among visitors' staying at the Occidental Hotel are Captain and Mrs. Collins (Nelson), Mr. and Mrs. Dolmoro (Duncdin), Mr. and Mr;. Hedger (AucklamP, Mr. and Mr?. Chitty (Hamilton), and the Misses Chitty.
At St. John's Church, 'Wanganui, on Friday, Miss Rosa Hawkcn, .sixth daughler of Mr. mid Mrs. .T. Hawken. of Wicksteed Street, was married to Dr. T. W. Wilkiii, of Wanganui. The Rev, Herbert Boeve, vicnr of Christ Church, was the officiating clergyman.

A Farewell .Afternoon. On Saturday afternoon at their rojiilpiico, "Oukaparinga," l)nni«l Street, the Misses Hugo gave n farewell afternoon for Aliss Irene Aln-ou, who leaves by the Ulintarca on Friday for Australia. " Tim afternoon went all too quickly to tho>o present. .Two interesting competition* were won by Alices Peggy Bain mid I). Allison. A musical programme followed, and was contributed to by this Misses Alnsnn, Cederliolm, Tyler, and Zelma Hugo. As a lit lie parting gift, each guest brought a dainty handkerchief, and wished Miss Al.ison bo.ii voyage and a happy future. Among those pie=i/nt were the Misses Bain, Nannestead (2), Alason !•'!), Alajor, Tyler, (.'ederholm, and Mitchell (2). Miss Mason will lie, much missed in Wellint-ton, whore she. lias ninny friends. Mrs. Ala.-on accompanies her daughter as far as Sydney.
