Mr. Andrew Williamson, in giving evidence before tho Empire Trade Commission, submitted a suggestion for amendments to the Commonwealth Land Tax Act, proposed by the Australasian section of the London Chamber of Commerce, which, if adopted, would, he declared, remove grievances, and hence injustice created by the land tax. Mr. Williamson reiterated some of the arguments used by the deputation to Mr! Fisher, tho Commonwealth Prime Minister, during his visit to London, in IDII.
