JUDGING SHEEP.
A NOVEL SYSTEM. A novel system of judging has been evolved by the long-wool *bocpbr-*ders, and it will bo tried at tho forthcoming show at Longford, says the Tiismanian correspondent of Dalgely's Ri'viow. In operation it is a scheme i't.r the exhibitors to be the judges of their own sheep, and it will be interesting to see how it will work out in practice. Rouglil.i, the idea is as follows:—Every exhibitor in each class will be the judge, and, as in most classes, ono or two s-heep u*. ally stand out from the others, «ii«n those h.ivo been chosen by all the exhibitors, the ov. litis of tho best sheep stand ricwr, and the balance of the (.\hibibvs decide finally tho order, ot merit.
The quality of the cheese must lie maintained, if not improved, if the Factory is to mnke good progress. This is where tho "Victor" Vat proves its great value. By its use better cheese is produced, and bigger dividends paid out to shareholders. The hundred odd "Victors" that have been ordered, show how wide-awake some managers are to the superiority of these vats. Full details from Albert J. Parton, Carterton.—Advt.
