POTATOES UP TO Jill PEE TON. A larger supply of fruit than arrived lust week came to hand by this week's Sydney steamer, find prices at the Blair and Allen Streets markets came down ill consequence. Potatoes have hardened considerably, and are in very short supply. Onions also have advanced in price, and a temporary shortage will be experienced until the arrival of tho next, supply from America. Cabbage is now coming to hand in large quantities and selling at something approaching glut prices. Cauliflowers are in short supply and high values rule, This week's market values are:—lsland oranges, 9s. to 12s. 6d, per case, according to condition; pines, 7s. to 10s. case; Sydney oranges, 9s. to lis. fid. case; mandarins, 14s. to 20s. .case; Queensland pineapples, ss. to 7e. 6d. case; passion fruit, 10s. to 12s. quarter-case; Sydney lemons, lis. to 14s. case; Mildura lemons, 13s. to 17s. caso; choice dessert apples (local), 9s. to lis. case; cooking sorts, 9s. to lis.; hothonso tomatoes, Is. 4d. to Is.
