•'- ?-+- — ; — ' THE CMSTALLATE CUP GAMES. . A large assemblage witnessed the games in the Alcock Crystallate Cup tournament last evening. Mr. Kcys'bent Mr. C. A'shei in a game that was played at gi'eat speed. Mr. Keys made the biggest break in the games so far, viz.: 52, and won by 100 points. Every easy stroke and many difficult shots were made by Mr. Keys, who took no chances. The loser, Mr. C. 'Asher, who is a young player with lots of execution, found the tight .pockets very "hard," but strung a break of 21 together very correctly. • • Mr. A. Waketn beat Mr. Cairns, by 83 points, after an interesting game,. making a break of 2G. The loser put up a good-battle, compiling runs of 2G and 23, but had all tho worst of what luck was going. The draw for the semi-finals is as follows:—Tuesday evening, October 1 29—At 7.15: Mr. J. Keys v. Mr. F. Farrell. At 9 p.m.: Mr. W. A. Fordham and Mr. A. Wakem. The final will bo played on Wednesday evening, October 30, at 8 p.m. Admission to tho semi-final and final will be by invitation tickets only. The«e can bo obtained on application to Messrs. Alcock and Co.. Ltd., Baker's Buildings.
