At the meeting of the Timaru Harbour Board to-day discussion took place rerarding a rumour that the Tavnmi came, too close in on approaching the port in tt fog some days ago, and touched a reef, and that the fog signa was not in use. Inquiry showed that tho fog came on suddenly, and a man was sent at once to start tho signal. It takes half an hour to get this done., the. board decided that nothing better could ha\o been done.' __
