Adams, India, las just been selected to servo on a Commission, formed by the Government of India, to inquire into the best way of managing and looking after pilgrims at the big religious fairs that are held all over India. He managed a very large fair at Allahabad last vear, for which ho got a great deal of credit, and at which he had over two million pilgrims to look after. Not a single hitch occurred. Ho also had charge of a similar fair at Meerut lately. Mr, G. F. K. Adams is a son of Mr. C. IV. Adams, Bellevuo Road, Lower Hutt, and brother of Mr. C. 0. Adams, Government Astronomer, 'Wellington, N.Z.

Mr. Vivian Smith, an Associate of the Royal College of Art at South KcnsniKton, with teaching experience at the Sheffield Technical School of Art and the Sheffield Training Collego for Teachers, has been appointed assistant art instructor at the Wellington Technical School.
