Figures presented at the opening of the Australasian Fruit Growers' Conference show that since 1901 the area of New South Wales orchards decreased by ■ a thousand acres, and that (export of fruit had largely decreased. Mr. M'Kee /Motueka, New Zealand 1 , stated that during the past four years the Dominion's fruit area had increased by seven thousand acres, and was now thirtyfive thousand acres.
