TEACHERS' SUPERANNUATION
SOME NEW PROPOSALS. Additional proposals for the amendment of tho Public Service Classification and Superannuation Act, upon which an amending Bill has already been introduced, were brought down in the House of Representatives yesterday by Governor's Message. They proposed to give effect to I ho recommendations of tho Education Committee for the admission to the teacher** superannuation fund of petrous in tho service of tho Uni 'orsity ot New Zealand, the four University Colleges, or the Canterbury Agricultural College. Election to join tho fund must be intimated before July 1, 1913. Oth?r clauses provide for n revival of the right of election to become contributors to tho fund for tlieso persons who did not join tho fund orig. inally, but who now wish to do so. Tho amount to bo paid in contributions by finch contributors is to ho computed by the Teachers' Superannuation Fund in. tho manner pr?scribcd by regulations.
