Banchehn, the keeper of the military carrier-pigeons, has been sentenced to eight years' penal servitude for supplying Prance' with information regarding the Metz fortifications. Johann Berger, a brother-in-law of Banchehn's, who i 3 a fortification clerk, and Thiebant, a stonemason, have teen sentenced .to six years' imprisonment apiece. All were employed on tho Aletz fortress works.
