THE RANGITIKEI RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

The annual championship prize meeting of the Rangitikei lUiie Club takes place at Bulls this year, on Novomber G and 7, entries for which close on Saturday next, October 26. There are three matches in the championship eeriei, with aculminating "grand aggregate," an "optional aggregate," and a championship Teams' Hatch. The prizes are on a literal scale, ranging from .£3 to ss. in the championship 6eries, and from .£lO to j>l in the "Grand Aggregate." Added to these attractions is the Newman Cup, presented by Mr. Edward Newman, M.P., and valued at 20 guineas, handed over to the club by the now disbanded SandonOhakea Rifle Club, which won the trophy outright in l!) 10. The competition was formerly a district rifle club event, but is now an open championship contest, for teams' competition. *
