ORGANISING WOKK IN MAItLBOB- : ... . OUGH. \ . Mr. J. C. Fowler, Wellington provincial organiser for the Farmers' Union, has completed his tour in tho, Maryborough district. Kesults of the visit are. stated to be most satisfactory. Large increases in the membership have taken place, and a greater inclination on tho part of the farmers to Join the umou. has been experienced.' The Pelorus Sounds' executive took advantage . oi Mr. Fowler's' presence in Marlborough, and arranged' for him to conduct an organising tour through the Sounds. Large increases in membership have also taken place there, and new branches were formed at Kenepum and Mahakipawa. ihe chairman of the latter branch is Mr. (~ ,T. Fulton, who for severarycars waa in the Government service as the flax expert Mr. Fulton is an enthusiastic supporter of the Fanners' Union, and under his guidance his branch has a bright The Nelson executive, having requested tbn organiser's services, Mr. Fowler is now proceeding to that province, and hopes to put new life into thp union in that district. Mr. Fowler left for Nelson by tho Arahura on Saturday last.
