MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) • At the Magistrate's Court on Saturday, Henry Richard Balding was sentenced to three months' imprisonment for his having stolen a gold watch from Barrett and Co. For insobriety, Robert Staples was fined 10s. Alfred Wilkinson was fined £2 for his having incited another man to resist arrest. Albert Edward Gray was remanded till to-day on charges of the theft of 18s. in money and one overcoat. William Francis Wilkinson was sentenced to two months' imprisonment on a charge of the theft of a watch and a silver matchbox, of the total valuo of .€3 10s., from Frederick Mark. , George Edward Keen was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment for his having deserted the steamer Corinthic.
