OTAKI MYSTERY.
SAD DISCOVERY HADE.
A sensation was caused at Otaki 011 Sunday (says our local correspondent) when it became known that tho body of Mr. Stanley J. Beattie, who, it will bo remembered, was lpst 011 tho ranges ninny months ago, had been found at the back of Waihoanga by three lads—Sidney Diaper, and Bethel and Albert Collier. Tho boys, who were out rabbit hunting, found the body in the sand on the bank of 1 lio river, and 'at once informed Mrs. Collier, who rang up Constable Satherley late in the evening. The constable went to the scene at an early hour yesterday morning and removed the body. Besides other injuries it was found that tho loft leg had sustained fracture. It was generally evident that deceased had had a severe experience. An inquest will be held this afternoon.
