Auckland, October 11. Business done at this morning's call included :— New Sylvia, Is. 3d. Watchman, Iβ. 9d. Grand Junction, £1 3s. IJew Waitaia, Is. 4d. New Zealand Insurance, £4 13s. 6d. The following business was done at the 3.15 p.m. call to-day:— Waihi, £1 15s. Now Zealand Portland Cement, £1 18a. 6d. Dunodln, October 11. The following sales were reported on the Stock Exchange to-day:— Union Steam, £2 7s. (two parcels). Waihi Grand Junction, £1 Z6. 9d. SWASTIKA GOLD MINES, LTD. Messrs. Wm. H. Turnbull and Co. report that the capital issued for the above-named company has bcon oversubscribed, the sbaro list being closed yesterday afternoon. Work at the mine will be proceeded with at once, along the linos recommended by Jlcssrs. Sidney. Fry and J. Bowie Wilson. Tho main reef will be connected with the battery by tramway, as will the leader just below it, and it is estimated that this work will be completed within a month. Driving on the Big Iteef will commence right away, and the work of junclioning the No. 1 and the Buck Reef will proceed at the same time. Then all tha leaders will be crosscut to the wet leader, which, will do away with any water difficulty, eo that in a, few weeks actual battery returne of the stone crushed will be available.
