Anglo-New Zealand Wedding. Oil August 22, at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, Blairgowrie (writes an English correspondent), the marriage took place of Harold Traill Skae, M.D., Cli.b., youngest son of the late I'. W. A. Skae, M.J)., F.It.C.K., Inspector of Aeylums and Hospitals, Now Zen land, to Marion Christal l'raser, only'child of the late Dr. William leaser and Mrs. Fraser, of Ramsgate. The Rev. John Malcolm performed the ceremony. A Presentation. At yesterday's meeting of the Hntt County Council, the chairman suspended business for a short while, in order to make a presentation to Miss AA'anningfon, of the council's stuff, who was severing her connection because of her approaching marriage. He spoke in very eulogistic terms of the manner in ivhich .Miss AYarmington had done her work for the past six years, and expressed sorrow at ' her severance with the staff. He-wished her, on behalf of the council, long life and happiness. Mr. AYakehani then prof oiitod iliss Warmington with a solid silver teapot, suitably inscribed. The entertainment given in aid of Alother Aubert's Homes of Compassion takes place in the Town Hall this evening. In additici to the enjoyment obtained from a well-organised programme of varied items, the opportunity is afforded people of aiding a cause that cannot fail to enlist sympathy—that of the helpless little derelicts of the city and of civilisation generally incapable of fighting life's battles.
