(Br Telenraph.—SpuoleJ CorreinondenU Mastorton, October 8. At a meeting of the Wairarapa Presbytery to-day, it was agreed to join with other Presbyteries in a petition against tho inorease in racing days in the Dominion. An application from Pahiatua for a grant from the Church Extension Fund .was held or&r. The nnnual reports from the Ekctahuna and Pongaroa charges were submitted. It was decided to heartily approve of the objective of the Bible-in-Schools League. Sympathy was expressed with the Presbyterian congregation at Waihi in tho long and trying , strike.
