WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY.
The Wellington Presbytery held its monthly meeting at St. John's Church Inst night, the Moderator (the Rev. B. Hutson) presiding. On the motion of the Rev. J. M'Cavf, seconded by the Rev. R. Inglis, the Rev. A. Grant, of Danrievirke, was nominated ns Moderator of the General Assembly in 1913. On behalf of a special committee of the Presbytery, : the Rev. R. Inglis recommended that the district between Otaki and Paeknkariki he made a homo mission sUtion, and that the Oliutch Extension Committee be requested to appoint an agent immediately. ' , A communication was received from the Hiuvke's Bay Presbytery calling attention to tho fact that Parliament is : to be , petitioned to increase the number of racing days, and recommending that a \ counter-petition be presented. It was decided that the TVfodorator and clerk be authorised to sign sneh a petition on be- : half of tho Presbytery. • Tho Rev. Dr. Gibb was appointed a voting member of the General' Assembly in place of the Rev. Mr. Hutson, who will ; Ijo unable to attend • dining the whole period. ■ ]
