Entries for the"Alcock" CrVstallato Cup amateur billiard championship of Wellington, the competition for which commences on. October 22 next, at Alcock's showrooms in Wellington, arc due by October 17. There are three prizes—first, the Crystnllate Cup and a gold medal;second, cue and tease,, valued at <£2; and a special set of crystnllato billiard balls to the player making tho highest break. The August ■ and September issues of Alcock's Sporting Review are adinirablo specimens of the specialist sporting magazine, and' in addition to a largo amount of interesting .news matter concerning billiards, there are also, various notes .on sports generally—swimming, rowing, athletics, golf, tennis; aviation, and football. ~
