(Br Telegraph,—Preue AnoolitloB.) Eltham, October 5. Lord Islington visited Elthain to-day. His Excellency arrived by special train at 3.30, and whs welcomed at the Nation bv the lion. Cooperation .should be applied, not only as had been tho ea»o in tlie past, but even in regard to imports. JleaJis of communication also were needed badly, and he would advise light lines, such as he had himself seen in other countries. He. also ma,de mention of the uses of nianuros, particularly of basic slag, and pointed out that money spent on fertilisers was well spent. Subsequently, afternoon tea was par-i-aken of, and, after speaking a couple of hours in the town, the Governor departed at half-past feven for AVclliiieton.
