CYCLONIC CONDITIONS. After a bad week of high winds and de pressing atmospheric conditions, it concluded on Saturday with a stiff north-wes-terly gale under a pall of hopelessly leaden skies, quito spoiling all manner of outdoor sports. A littlo rain fell on Saturday evening, but hnrdly sufficient to quieten'the flying grit everywhere. Yesterday tho gale girded up its loins, so to speak, and fo show that it had ohly been fooling all thosweelc, blew with cyclonic force the whole day, completely aniiihilnting the day as one for a snring-tiine airing. Last evening some relief was given from tho dust by the rain which hurtled down copiously from G o'clock onwards. A few fences were blown down in different parts of the city and here and there gardens suffered from the big blow, which one hopes will presage a glimpse of tho spring which has so far successfully secreted itself from, the observant.
