EBV. CANON JORDAN, TAUHANGA. IBj Telegraph.-Prcu Association.) Tauranga, October 6. The Rev. Canon Jordan, 8.A., for nearly forty years minister in charge of the Church of England parish here, died on Saturday afternoon, aged 73. He was lorn in County Kerry, Ireland, and educated at Trinity College, Dublin, where ho graduated in 18GG. He was ordained in Kt. Mary's Cathedral, Tuam. County Galway, on July 11, 18G7. He arrived in Tnuranga on December 31, 1872, and has resided there ever since. He had been many times Mayor of Tauranga and was also a member of the Tauranga Licensing Committee, and the Bay of Plenty Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. He leaves a widow and aa adult family—three 6ons and two daughters. Deceased wns held in high esteem throughout th<e Bay of Plenty.
