TECHNICAL SCHOOL CADETS.
Members of the Wellington Technical Collcgo Senior Cadets tendered a "social" to their officers las terming. SergeantMajor Davis presided. Tho toast list included: "Our Guests," proposed l.y tho chairman, ,aud responded to by Lieutenants Hugo, Smith, and Hornig; "The Instructors," proposed by Lieutenant .1. Smith, and responded to by SergeantMajor Davis; "Kindred Companies and Visitors," proposed by Sergeant J. M'Alister, and responded to by Captain Frandi; "Tho School," proposed by KinceCorporal Freeman, and responded to by Mr. W. S. La Trobo. During the course of tho evening items were given by Messrs. W. Jennings, G. Wilson, Lieutenant Hugo, Lieutenant Smith, Mr. J. 13, Speed, nnd Col.-Sergeant L. Jones l'rivato Bird, and Lance-Corporal H.'A. Martin. Mr. W. Jennings acted as accompanist. Mention was also made of Lieutenant J. Smith's departure from tho company, ho having been promoted. At a meeting of the non-commissioners at the couclu. sion of the fete, it was decided to make a presentation, in. recognition of his good work.
