A EUGENICS CRUSADE.
ORGANISER TO VISIT WELLINGTON. Eugenics is a subject of which tho publio has heard a good deal from timo to timo lately, and of which Wellington in likely to hear more during tho next few weeks. On Monday Miss Moegcorgo, the energetic, honorary organiser of tho Now Zealand branch of tho Eugenics Education Society, will qrrivo in Wellington, and will spend the remainder of tho month in organising work in tho city. Miss Macgeorgo has just completed a two months' tour in Otago and Canterbury, and has succeeded in arousing a wido interest in tho work of the Eugenics Society. Sho has not only given lectures under the auspices of tho branches of tho society, but has also addressed meetings of many charitable and social organisations and high schools in the centres visited. Miss Macgeorgo intends to continue this work in Wellington, and arrangements for addresses can be made through the secretary of tbe local branch of tho society, Miss England. The number of student.* of (.lie "Kugonics lioviow" in one city conditional to the formation of a division of the New Zealand branch of the Eugenics Education Society, thirty, being now nearly reached in Nelson, the services of the organiser are duo thoro as from November 1. January is booked for New Plymouth, where at the annual conference of the New Zealand Educational Institute sho is to lecturo on "Heredity and Eugenics" and to outlino various lines of proposed eugenic work connected more or less directly with the Education Department.
