Dr. .Mjoberg, the Swedish explorer, who had charge of tho recent scientific research expedition in Western Australia, will proceed shortly to Queensland to continue his investigations. He intends to study especially tho rain forests, where are' tho last traces of Malayan vegetation. Dr. Mjoberg considers tho aborigines the only primitive Caucasians living. They have been hero for thousands of years. Some specimens secured by him in northwest Australia were entirely new U> science. They included a small rodent, some birds, and numerous insects. "The Australian native is nothing but on old branch of the Caucasian tribe," said Dr. Eric Mjobers, Swedish lecturer, before an audience at tho German Club in Sydney a few days ago. "His hair is weak, and that helps to point out the relationship, also tho, fact that the hair is wavy and curly. The'aborigines hero are in the same state of development' aa were the tribes in Europe. 50,000 or 100,000 years ago. Bones discovered in caves in France, Italy, and Germany show it."
