ATHLETICS.
THE WAIRARAPA A.A. CLUB. (By Tele'sraph.—Spcclal Correspondent.) Masterton, September 27. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club was held to-nignt .when there was a large attendance of members. A vote of condolence was passed to the family of the late Mr.James Pryor. Mr. S. Snell was elected president, arid Mr. W. S. Dickson secretary. It was decided to take steps to have the club registered under the Unclassified Societies Act. It was intimated that Mt. J. L. Murray had offered a points' prize for. the'coming season. Nineteen, new members were elected. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. R. W. M'Villy, of Wellington, for presenting a ohallengo shield .to be competed for by country clubs.
