Melbourne, September 27. At the New Zealand Dominion Day dinner the-Prime Minister, Mr.- Fisher, in prpposing the toast of New Zealand, said he trusted the time was not far distant when tho people managing the affairs of New Zealand and Australia would coins closer together. The duty of the two countries lay in Australasian waters, and the South Pacific must come under their protection. Mr.' Fisher added that what he said regarding New Zealand applied also to Canada.
