At Butlerworth's New Discovery mine the trial crushing resulted in £63 worth or gold being obtained from 9 tons wilhoui. Prospectors searching round the old Rm-Ei-11 and Dillon mines, in Waitaliu Valley, struck a remarkably good\ outcrop. A strong local syndicate has been formed to undertake active operations.
