Herr Nordlnrns, an old Norwegian pilot, who was.on the bridge, immediately telephoned to the engineers, to disregard tho order. Tho Kaiser angrily ordered tho pilot to go below. nerr Nordhuns refused to do so, saying, "Tho ship is under my direction, and not oven tho Emperor is going to give orders." Tho Kaiser then quitted the bridge. Next day his Majesty decorated Herr Nordhuns.
