NO PROTEST OVER SHIELD. (By Tciesrapli.—l'ress Association.; Christchurch, September 23. Mr. AV. AY. I'ilcaithly, honorary .secretary of the Canterbury Hockey Association, states that no protest has been entered in connection with tho scores in tho Wellington-Canterbury Shield match, which was played on Saturday. The question of protesting, against tho first goal scored by AA'cllington was discussed, but the association unanimously decided iio .take no action.
