_ 4 — Feildin? motorists have decided to support the Manawatu Automobile Association. This decision was arrived at at a mcctiriff lust week. Mr. 1!. S. Abraham, president of tlic Manawatu Association, occupied the chair, and there were about 20 motorists present. A consignment of 30.000 brown trout fry and 20,000 rainbow trout fry is beinjr procured bv the Fcildinj; Acclimatisation Society, to be released in the streams in, this district. At the meeting of the Kiwitea Comity Council on Saturday, the chairman (Mr. H. Voider) expressed hearty approval of the action of the "Weather Department in forwardiiiE daily reports to the lumuoltnn Tost Olliee. Mr. fowler also commended the work done by (he Key. Mr. Bates as ■ Government Meteorologist. A motion in terms of (he chairman's remarks was pa-sed by the council. Miss Kurt Yonnntr was the recipient nf a presentation from the staff of Messrs. Bramwell Bros, on the occasion of her denarture from service witn tbat linn, where she has been enj.a»ed for three years in the, book-keepini! room.
