There is considerable outcry against some of the provisions of the Early Clos-, ing' Act Amending. Bill, particularly by the butchers, who are not to be allowed to open late on one night in the week. Hairdressers &nd tobacconists are'allowed one lato night in each week, the rest must close_at seven o'clock., Chemists may open on one night until nino o'clock, and,on'other nights must close at sis o'clock.
