Cochran, member for Darling Harbour, in speaking on the ousting of the Gov-ernor-General, Lord Denman, from Government House. ,Mr. Cochran declared that the Governor-General was able to take care of himself, and he (Mr. Cochran) was not concerned where, he went, because the time was fast approaching when kings and crowns might be in the melting-pot and the money received by them used to relieve poverty in England. Liberal members should show a greater interest in the poorer classes than in titled and exalted personages.
